About the Episode
This episode features Shermica Farquhar, a Brooklynite proud of her Caribbean roots. Shermica and I discuss some of her key life lessons about not getting stuck in painful situations and living free of the boxes that people try to put us in. Shermica shares her stories of taking bold steps for change in her life, living in alignment with her values.
“When you spend your time running away from something, you are going to find it wherever you go.”
This is particularly good advice gifted to us by Shermica this episode. If you have a solid list of who you aren’t and what you don’t like or what you don’t want…it’s time to get another list going, friend. What do you want to go towards?? That negative motivation serves a purpose, but it’s dangerous to let that drive you. Because your spirit will keep dwelling on it to ‘keep an eye out for that thing’ so you can avoid it…but have you given your spirit the insight on what you DO want so you can focus there even more??
