About the Episode
I met Nyah Peyton in LuvvNation, an online community founded by NY Times Best-selling author, Luvvie Ajayi Jones. Together, Nyah and I co-host Sunday Souls Sessions in LuvvNation, a monthly event about mind, body, and soul wellness discussions in a safe space. Nyah and I love to cut up and laugh together, even during moments of vulnerability. So, in Episode 10 of YOU Better!, where Nyah shares some of her deeply personal poetry, we were still up to our usual shenaniganry.
This Arkansas native is a college student who also happens to be the author of the book In Favor of Everything Right, published in 2020. In this episode, Nyah shares some of her reflections about how easy it is to be super firm in your own point of view when you haven’t necessarily been in someone else’s shoes. She also touches on the power of freeing yourself with your own truth.
